Contractual Agreement between AUTHORS and Service Provider
This is an exclusive contract for coordinating your book through the publishing process, with a publisher designated by BookPubCo /or a publisher of your choosing. Signing this agreement signifies that you agree with this agreement as written and that you agree to pay the identified cost for the selected services that achieves your book publishing goals. The following are required cost for necessary services to proceed with this coordination process. The coordination process, notwithstanding the publisher’s contract, includes the following:
Professional editing is at the author’s request and includes the following: $5.00 per page, based on book size
- Author’s manuscript is assessed for editorial relevance and receives full editing support in preparing the book for publication.
- Reading, proofreading, spelling checks, word evaluation, and grammar proficiency analysis.
- Manuscript is matched with a publisher.
- Story Analysis and evaluation
- Suggestive enhancement of author's writing
Ghostwriting Service
Please review the Ghostwriter Services under CJ Editing/Events for this service. In addition to the $5.00 per-page, manuscripts that entail ghostwriting require the following services:- Story analysis
- Enhancing the storyline
- Meeting with the author and gathering notes
- Recorded interviews when requested; using Digital Wave Player
- Extensive typing to complete the manuscript for the Coordination Process
- Analysis of the work to determine the estimate at the time an author request ghostwriting service
Media Release Development
- Media release development, includes releases to 100 media outlets: $350
Coordination Process
- Preparing manuscripts to meet the specifications of publisher’s format: $100.00
- Ensure the manuscript is transmitted to publisher with all reprint releases from newspapers, photographers, individuals, clipart, internet, book dealers, cartoonist, etc. Ensuring all images are in the proper format: $200.00
- Errors that occur as a result of this process are corrected: $50.00
- BookPubCo corrects errors noted during the author’s first draft review: $75.00
- BookPubCo will use the appropriate format for correcting errors and resubmission, after a draft review: $75.00
- Manuscript presentation meeting with design team and layout coordination team directly with publisher and author during conference call wrap-up after initial manuscript submission to the publisher $100.00
Total cost of coordination process: $600.00
Negotiating Initial Relationship:
Publisher’s cost is at the author’s expense with coordination support on request; BookPubCo will negotiate an initial relationship with publisher on author’s behalf and expense, which includes the following:
- Coordination with publisher to establish author's website, which includes identification number, ISBN and password for author's book information: $150.00
- Ensuring the publisher's contract is completed correctly: $100.00
Total cost for negotiating initial relationship: $250.00
The identified cost is required for necessary coordination to proceed through the book publishing process. Signing this agreement give evidence that you agree with this agreement as written and that you agree to pay the identified cost for the selected services that achieves your book coordination and publishing goals.

Author Guarantees
The Author guarantees that he/she has a right to the manuscript and/or work of art, document, or other miscellaneous products, by virtue of being the owner. The Author retains ownership to the subsequent published “Book” for the duration of this agreement and after coordination has been accomplished with a publisher for said “Author”.
